Quidnunc?
Ever had the type of night where you are extremely tired but just don't feel like sleeping? And the worst thing is you just wanna zone out but your brain is still running the half marathon... In the end, there are just so much nonsense that drop out from your brain while it is running that you have no choice but to find a place to deposit them... Yup...the time is now... Don't get me wrong...I am not blogging because I have nothing to do...I am blogging because I don't feel like doing anything else and the above-mentioned scenario happened... That is why I am blogging now and hope that this reason sounds reasonable enough for me to miss out on updating my blog for about 2 months? Not that anyone care...I don't... :)
So...Quidnunc?

Sometimes I really do wonder, as school in my case - or for that matter, life for everyone is so freaking busy, they should come up with a subject called Busyness... This is because everyone is wondering why everyone is so busy so everyone need to start to study what cause this busy-ness, so the cause for the term, Busyness... And the cause and effect of such a busy outcome is called Busyness Science... And because Busyness Science needs a few rules in order to function, there comes another subject called Busyness Law... And because nowadays alot of people are too busy to be lazy that they do not know how to manage their time so there is something called Busyness Management... And because you need skill to know how to effectively write a diary or a blog in my case on what happened in your busy day, you need to learn something called Busyness Administration... And when you have written enough of your busy stuffs such that a University recognises your work then you will get Masters in Busyness Administration... So...when will I ever get my MBA??????

Hello!!!
I can feel the stares of daggers on my blog now...With the kind of feeling like, why the hell did this guy not post anything up since he is so free nowadays?
Ok la...I admit I am rotting at home...but recently I've been more busy with packing my house readying for renovation ma...
But these few months have really been good for me...Everyday do nothing except facebook and reading fiction, comics etc...
And of course, commencement...
Finally a paper to proof that I have completed 4 years in NUS...
It seems like only yesterday morning when me, william and jeff went for matric fair together...
It seems like only yesterday afternoon that we passed year 1 and Kelvin joined our ranks...
It seems like only yesterday evening that we were having loads of fun during analytical lecture filming videos of 'Stabilo Boss' with yy joining our ranks...
It seems like only yesterday night that weiliang completed the sextet that is G6 today...
It seems like only today morning that I finished my last paper in year 4...
It seems like today afternoon that all of us attended commencement...
It seems like...erm...ok...I guess you get my point...
But you know what makes the countless boring lectures and projects and stressful life bearable?
G6...which really mean alot...
Graduate loh!!!! . . . I am really glad to have so much free time to myself because I had the time and priviledge to savour and read countless books...Which you should know by now is my favourite pasttime...Kinokuniya is like a haven to me, and I would feel upset if I did not at least buy one book everytime I am there...haha...
So if anyone of you have the free time for some light reading...here are 3 fantastic novels which I would strongly recommend...
The first is The Ninth Circle by Alex Bell...The Ninth Circle is Alex Bell's debut work and I like to read debut works because they give you an introduction on the mindset and writing style of the Author without the hindrance of commercialisation, hopefully...So that at that point you will be able to make a decision as to whether you will continue buying his books or not...The story is interesting as it dealt with religious issues ala Dan Brown in Da Vinci Code...But it is an altogether different approach and more Fantasy than Fiction...I am very impressed with the way he churns out the story line...Although I am a little disappointed with the ending but the suspense is fantastic! I will definitely support his further publications...
The second is 6 suspects by Vikas Swarup, the author of Q&A, or what is now titled, Slumdog Millionaire...6 suspects is a wonderfully crafted storyline based on 6 characters in the story and how they are all connected to each other...Wonderful plotting because the more characters you have in your story, the harder it is to weave all of them together...2 or 3 is hard enough...but 6...I am impressed...Although the twist is quite predictable...
The third one, is not a novel, but a comic titled Watchmen...I know alot of people slammed the movie and I have not watched it but I can only say the comic is very very entertaining! Most of the superheroes depicted are very human, unlike your superman, hulk etc...What makes the comiv interesting is the intense storyplot and wonderful portrayal of characters...Especially Rorschach, whom I think is my favourite... . . . Ok...I am blabbering nonstop now...One of the faults of mine whenever I start to blog...So its either a very long post, or a very short one...no in-between...
Before I stop writing, there is one thing that I want to say...Tevez Sucks!

Exam Results...
I am not boasting...
Its just that this is the first time i got such wonderful grades...
If i have 2 semesters of such grades, i would not have to worry about not obtaining a 2nd upper...
I will not be showing my CAP...i dun wanna see it...cos even though i did calculated the possibility, it is still very hard to swallow and accept such a final CAP result...arghh...
Well...Here it is...
This semester to me was actually very relaxing in terms of studying for my modules...and i get such grades...previous semesters, i think i put in more effort... I guess...Le Chatelier's Principle really made a joke on me...haha...

Taiwan 2009...A prisoner of Birth...and Barca vs Man U...
Ok, i admit i am damn lazy for not updating my blog even though its the holidays now and i am very free...but oh well...i shall try to update once in awhile ya?
So i shall start off with my Taiwan Trip...I won be describing much as if i were to describe everyday...i think it would be a very long post and everyone would have slept halfway tru this post...so ya...
This trip could not have come at a better time...It took my mind of alot of things and i was able to relax without any worries such that i came back a recharged person...
An interesting aspect of the trip is that i went with 5 others of which i only know 1, which is Wei Liang...haha...but towards the end, all of us sort of know each other a little better and this trip would not be fun without them...haha...
Btw...Anyone who wants to see the photos can go and look at my facebook albums...it is not complete yet as i have been uploading them bit by bit daily...bobian la...alot of photos leh...
The most enjoyable part of this trip have to be watching Sodagreen's concert for the first time, which was held in Sun Yat Sen University in 高雄...It is my first time attending an open air 校園演唱會 and hence i was looking forward to enjoying myself...And boy was i not disappointed...The atmosphere was so 'high' such that we were grooving along with every song...
Overall, i can only sum this trip up in 6 words: "I WANT TO GO BACK AGAIN!!!"... . . . Now i would like to take this chance to recommend a very very wonderful book which i read during the past few days...it is titled 'A Prisoner of Birth' by Jeffrey Archer... The impact it had for me was such that I could not put the book down and finished at least 300 pages in one night...And the wonderfully crafted story had such an impact on me such that i reread several chapters again after finishing reading the book just to savour the story again... It is a very good read and for those who have read the classic, 'The Count of Monte Cristo', you may find some resemblance with this book...But at the same time it is altogether another story with very interesting happenings and different twists... Jeffrey Archer certainly made full use of the knowledge he had when he was in jail to describe the life of the main character in jail...Certain aspects of his book resembles his life, especially the main character, and the story seems similar to his other works but at the same time has certain features that make it stand out from the rest...I guess the concept Same Same But Different applies here...but then again I think that is his style of writing novels... If anyone of you have nothing better to do and feel like picking up a novel, do get this book...btw...it contains 600 over pages but i guarantee you would not regret reading it... Here i quote some excerpts from this book that left an impression on me: "Few things are entirely black or white, but more often different shades of grey...we all suffer in our different ways from being prisoners of birth..." - Munro (Prisoner of Birth) . . . Champions League - Manchester United 0 - 2 FC Barcelona...Arghh...
A dissapointing display by Man U...They simply did not turn up...Somehow i do think that if Fletcher was present, even if they are 1-0 down, there is still hope...but oh well...no use crying over spilt milk...haha... Barcelona were the far better team and deserve to win the Champions League... Even though I did predict them winning the champions league, in my heart i am still a man u fan...so i do feel for them... And i must say Carles Puyol is a far better actor than Ronaldo...He was one of my favourite defenders in the past but after the match, i completely despise him...Everyone in Barcelona FC deserve to win, especially Iniesta - whom i think is the man of the match for me, except of Puyol...He should seriously consider acting after he retires...

4 years...Long or Short?
I also dunno...
But what i can say is that the last two years are much more frentic...So much so that i am almost on the verge of burnout...
Just nice after FYP presentation there is two weeks of respite before exams that i can recover...
For now...I just wanna enjoy!!! . . . I can still remember(bioinorg lecturer voice) my first lecture in NUS...CM 1111...That was an interesting module because it taught us only one thing...solving crossword puzzles...That day...me, william and jeffrey were like 30 minutes late for the lecture because we could not find that stupid LT 32 which was so far away and so many stairs away...No wonder NUS = National University of Stairs...
Subsequently through the semesters...the number in our gang increased from 3 to 6...until what we have now...G6...
All the nonsense started with the 3 of us and from then on came kelvin...because he and jeff were lab partners and they wore the same type of jeans...From then on...our gang of 3 became Farking 4...interestingly...at that time...kelvin is the holder of the most frequent library visitor...whenever you go to the library...confirm can see him reading lecture notes...That was the end of year 1...
Shortly after year 2 started...yong yao came into our group and from then on...its called Farking 5...ya i know we are not inventive enough...but oh well...all our inventiveness and creativity have all gone to making up all sorts of nonsense like making Stabilo Boss commercials in CM2142 lectures and Finding Nemo in library...Ok...i admit i am the main culprit...
As semester 2 comes to an end...weiliang aka god aka micro-cool joined us and we became G6...life in NUS from then on is full of laughter and nonsense...it makes boring lectures enjoyable, studying bearable and exams tolerable...Even though i have known jeff for more than 10 years and yy since NS (and i do not know if i should be lucky or sway to know them for so long or not...haha...)...well...G6 has certainly been a bright spark in a not so bright room that is my NUS life...and not to forget the frequent gym sessions with william and plays with weiliang...
Year 4 saw the group dwindling down to a mere 3 members...because jeff graduated and married, erm...graduated with merit i mean...and kelvin and william was on the fast track to graduation...
It was at this time that i am also glad to have known a bunch of very good lab colleagues during my UROPS and subsequently FYP year...they make lab fun when it is becoming tedious and sometimes...the types of jokes we crack can only be understood by us...base donating to acid...big door of yong yao...haha...not to forget the frequent L4D sessions...killing zombies is a good way to destress after a week of lab...haha... . . . But i am just glad that this part of my life is over...looking back...there are of course many mistakes that i have made and in the end...i suffer the consequences of my actions...but oh well...i did learn and grow from them...what matters, i guess...is that i can still say i did tried...

Yes I know I have not been updating my blog for some time...
Well, what to do?
Need to rush FYP...
Then thesis...
Then presentation...
Then tests and more tests...
Everyday is just a mad rush to try to perfect the thesis or presentation or try to cramp as much info into my head as possible...
Once next week is over, I can breathe a sigh of relief...
I long for the times when I can just simply slack at home and do nothing sia...
The only thing I know now is that I am very very tired of life in NUS le...haha...
So...nothing too nonsensical to talk about now...
Only have a short breather as I just submitted my thesis...
